Ignacio Rosso's GC lead is cut to 1:31 and Tony B is the first player to notch 5 winners so leads those standings now.

Stage 17 could be a bunch sprint for the fast men, but the opening k's are tough and could suit a breakaway. Will the sprint teams be able to chase them down?

A nasty fall marked the end of the Tour for Jonas today and we have a few GC casualties of our own. 3 players selected todays winner - congratulations to Janis A, Gianfranco Lintas and Daniel Raissar.

No change to the top 3 in either competition here. Ignacio Rosso extends the GC lead to 3:45 over Geoffrey K and Nolan Krentz is nearly 5 minutes further back. 3 players still tied on 4 stage winners - Ignacio leads on coountback.

It's a rest day tomorrow. Action resumes on Tuesday with an Individual Time Trial.

Richard Carapaz was the most popular pick today and he did his best. Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough and Tadej Pogačar added another win to his tally. 6 players had the winner today.

Ignacio Rosso still leads the GC by 1:47 and Molly Dog is the third player to notch up 4 wins. Ignacia still leads that competition on countback with 2 second places.

More mountains tomorrow but this time with a summit finish. This stage is better suited to a breakaway although it could just as easily be another GC shootout.
